01 / THE LONG WAY HERE
For years, I thought caring this much meant I had to give until there was nothing left to question.
I’m Janae. I spent more than 15 years as a photographer, building a business, serving hundreds of people, raising a family, and carrying far more than most people could see from the outside.
I also discounted before anyone asked. Worked three hours on something priced for one. Added extras so no one could possibly question my value. Said yes when my gut said no. Then blamed myself for feeling exhausted, resentful, and behind.
What finally changed
I realized my business was not separate from the patterns I had spent my life surviving.
I learned early to read the room, anticipate reactions, keep the peace, and make myself easier for other people to handle. Those skills helped me survive. They also followed me into business.
They showed up in every price chosen around someone else’s comfort, every extra added because the promise did not feel like enough, every boundary erased the second someone was disappointed, and every season I disappeared because being misunderstood felt unbearable.
I began learning about the brain, the body, and the difference between a real business problem and the old reflex to assume I was the problem. I do not have a clean before and after story. I’m still becoming. But I’m not going back to abandoning myself.

What I bring
Fifteen years of business. A bullshit detector. No perfect person act.
I know positioning, offers, messaging, visibility, the client experience, and what it takes to keep a creative business alive. I also know what it is like when fear, perfectionism, or other people’s opinions are quietly making the decisions.
I will not assume every business problem is a mindset problem. I will not pretend fear is never involved. And I will not tell you to give more when overgiving is already part of the problem.
Your job is not to control every opinion, prevent every no, or make sure no one ever misunderstands you. Being misunderstood is not an emergency.
Found Light is business strategy and education informed by a real understanding of what people carry. It is not therapy, trauma treatment, or a replacement for licensed care.
